Music Ministry

Music enhances our understanding of faith and scripture.

Music leads us to focus on God by involving our whole person (mind, body, breath and spirit), in singing sacred texts that enhance our understanding of faith and scripture.

To this end, Bayside's Music Ministry provides opportunities for all ages. All the groups listed below would welcome new members.

GRADES K–6

JOYFUL SINGERS

Music is part of the Wednesday evening JAM program which begins at 5:45 pm.

The music portion of the program is oriented toward music that can be sung in Sunday services. Children may learn songs that they will offer at one of the services, or they may learn songs that the whole congregation sings.

The goals of this program include learning to sing, learning to follow directions, understanding music as an essential part of worship, and experiencing a leadership role in worship. These groups also meet on Sundays at 9:30 am. Chi Yi Wolbrink, Director of Music, leads the children's groups
