Bayside offers New Member Classes several times a year to learn more about our faith community.
Session is charged with accepting new members into the church. You will be asked to attend the first part of a session meeting, ask any questions or share any thoughts you may have, and Session will vote to admit you as a member of Bayside.
Finally, you will be introduced to the congregation at a Sunday morning service.

Steps to Joining Bayside
Joining the church is done in one of three ways:
1
A public profession of faith (and baptism, if not previously baptized)
2
A certificate of transfer from another church (the church office will make the transfer request of your former church)
3
A reaffirmation of your faith
Bayside Presbyterian Church (formerly Robbins Corner Chapel), held its first service in 1948. Founded on principles of mission, hospitality, and service to the community, Bayside has faithfully partnered with all groups in the Thoroughgood/Lake Smith area, while welcoming people of all ages and stages with open arms.
Since 1948, Bayside Presbyterian Church has sought to care for its people, its community, and the world, faithfully. At Bayside, all belong–not for what you can do, but for the love that you embody.
Since 1948, Bayside Presbyterian Church has woven itself into the fabric of the community with Christ’s love. We are located right off Independence Blvd, within view of Town Center in Virginia Beach.
