| Purpose:
Congregational Care is the Ministry that oversees the nurture, care, support and fellowship of the congregation. As a church family we meet the charge expressed in our Mission Statement to "provide a supportive, loving, and caring ministry to and with one another." Activities and Programs: This mission is carried out through many different ongoing programs, including: Nurturing – Meals, transportation and childcare are provided when required for those experiencing an unexpected emergency, those who are disabled, or who are in a crisis situation. Referrals are made to the pastors for visitation of the sick, shut-in and grieving. Correspondence – Cards, notes, and phone calls are used to remind members and friends, who may be sick, shut-in or grieving, that their church family is praying for them. Prayer chain – Verbal requests, emailed requests, and requests from forms in the pew racks are responded to through the power of corporate prayer. Fellowship – We support the development and continuation of many activities: such as:
Pictorial Directory: We coordinate the development of a church-wide pictorial directory and in maintaining an up-to-date online directory. Current Projects: In addition to the above, other projects include:
Contact any member of the ministry if you want to become a part of exploring and planning how the membership of Bayside can better care for our church family. We’d love to have you!! (And we’re always looking
for those who have the time and talents to carry out those plans!)
